Marlowe & Sterling (UK) LLP8 Bellwether YardLondon EC4A 2JGUnited Kingdom
London opened in 1994, ten years after the firm first began sending lawyers across the Atlantic on secondment and long enough after that experiment for the partnership to be certain it was not a fashion.
Thirty-eight lawyers practice English law here across corporate, arbitration, and real estate and infrastructure. The office leads the firm's international arbitration work, and the arbitration team is deliberately split between London and Singapore so that a tribunal seated in either place is served by lawyers who practice there rather than by lawyers who travel there.
Bellwether Yard sits between Fleet Street and the Royal Courts of Justice, in a converted printworks the firm took on a twenty-five-year lease in 2016.
Practices here
Litigation and international arbitration in matters where the outcome changes the business.
Acquisitions, carve-outs, joint ventures, and the governance that has to survive them.
Development, investment, and financing across logistics, data centers, and energy assets.
Fund formation, secondaries, and regulatory counsel for managers and institutional investors.

Representative Matters
A specialty materials division across nine countries, sold to a private capital buyer with sixty percent of its operations still running on the parent's systems.
An arbitration arising from a combined-cycle plant delivered twenty-two months late, in which the contemporaneous record proved more decisive than the expert evidence.
Three authorities, three timetables, and a screening system that had been correctly designed and incorrectly configured.
Eleven assets, a maturing facility, and a lender that wanted participation in the upside rather than a higher margin.
